Electrolytic cell DC power supply
Electrolytic process for dc power supply provided by the site ac power through the transformer/rectifier unit. Even to the basis of three-phase power supply unit will have a 6 volt dc pulse output. More sophisticated rectifier unit can generate the pulse dc 12 v and 24 v output.
Dc output pulse dc voltage will appear "volatility". Can increase the size to reduce the number of pulse wave. In order to meet the requirements of electrolyzer satisfied work, the dc voltage fluctuation (through the voltage fluctuation in peak amplitude measurement) should not exceed 5% of the total voltage. This restriction requirements apply to all possible normal working conditions, including parking and equipment service life of the end of the situation.
In practice, the requirement of the rectifier are more easily affected by other factors, for example, in the ac system harmonic and allow the power factor rectifier transformer.
The pressure drop of the electrolytic cell
Supply framework manager of saline and alkaline solutions must have a high enough pressure, in order to overcome the electrolyzer and import/export framework of main friction pressure loss and static pressure head. Under the condition of all kinds of fluid, from the entrance to the main framework, from export main framework supply battery (cell) to the export of pressure loss are no more than the following values.
Salt water pressure loss - 0.60 bar
Lye pressure loss - 0.72 bar
Electrolytic tank venting gas
For purging electrolytic tank of hydrogen manifold, compressed nitrogen is essential. Nitrogen supply pressure must be at least 0.5 bar g.
For purging chlorine director general of the electrolytic cell, compressed air (oil) or nitrogen is essential. Air or nitrogen supply pressure must be at least 0.5 bar g.
If in chlorine system used in the nitrogen purging work, it must be with the hydrogen system used by purging nitrogen separation, such hydrogen and chlorine gas mixture will not occur through the nitrogen purging system.
The working conditions
Normal working conditions
In the table below (3.1) needed for the successful operation of BICHLORTM cell normal steady state operating conditions were compared. The data listed in the table should be understood as an acceptable scope of work, has the work target (the data in parentheses), can achieve the optimal performance of cell. All of the following data is within the collateral requirements of producers, but will change on the advice of the ionic membrane manufacturers. Unless otherwise specified, the following condition expressed in a single cell battery.
